SUBSTANCE: invention refers to clinical pharmacology, and may be used for pharmacological correction of metabolism, function and structure of liver's parenchyma. An agent of an aqueous extract of winterweed and a method for preparing it based on extraction of an air-dry raw material consisting of grounded winterweed leaves, blossom and blades to the particle size of 2-4 mm in the raw material to extractant relation of 1:25, temperature 80°C for 1 h that is followed by keeping at room temperature after the first extraction for 3 h and extraction rate 3; thereafter the prepared extract is evaporated to dryness.

EFFECT: agent prepared as described above shows hepatoprotective and antioxidant properties and promotes normalising lipid peroxidation.
