FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the chemical-pharmaceutical industry and is a process for isolating 3-oxo-8-hydroxy-1,5,7α,4,8β(H)-vai-10(14),11(13)-diene-12,6-olide from above-ground part of scabiose centaury (Centaurea scabiosa L.) or Centaurea pseudomaculosa (Dobrocz.), consisting in the extraction of the milled ground portion of these plants with water purified at a temperature of 80 °C for 1.5 hours, at mass.volume ratio raw material: extractant 1:20 and a multiplicity of extraction 2 followed by liquid-phase extraction of aqueous extraction with chloroform at a volume ratio of 1:1 and chromatography of the obtained fraction by column chromatography on silica gel with successive elution with petroleum ether and petroleum ether-ethyl acetate mixture with concomitant recrystallization of the desired product.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to improve the method for isolating 3-oxo-8-hydroxy-1,5,7α,4,8β(H)-vai-10(14),11(13)-diene-12,6-olide, consisting in selective extraction of plant material with purified water, followed by extraction with chloroform, purification by column chromatography and recrystallization.
