SUBSTANCE: cast iron contains the following component ratio, wt %: carbon 3.0 - 4.6; silicone 1.5 - 3.5; manganese 4.0 - 6.0; nickel 3.0 - 5.0; boron 0.06 - 0.40; vanadium 0.2 - 0.8; copper 0.2 - 0.8; aluminium 0.1 - 0.7; cerium 0.02 - 0.20; magnesium 0.02 - 0.08; chrome 0.2 - 0.8; molybdenum 4.0 -6.0; calcium 0.06 - 0.80; sulphur 0.01 - 0.03; phosphorus 0.02 - 0.08; iron is the rest; at that, in cast iron structure the carbon is contained in free state in the form of graphite inclusions of spherical shape in quantity of 0.5-2.2% and in fixed state in the form of carbide phase in quantity of 0.4-3.7%.
EFFECT: increasing cast iron resistance with spherical graphite in conditions of impact abrasive wear.
