FIELD: power engineering.

SUBSTANCE: device to measure length of a rod fuel elements column and to feed fuel pellets into a containment comprises a linear drive with a motor connected with a satellite accumulator with the possibility of its step feeding and displacement of incomplete columns of fuel pellets into the area of column length measurement and further along the stream of the satellite accumulator into the area for insertion of incomplete columns of fuel pellets into the containment, and sensors of start and end of partial column length measurement. The linear drive comprises two carriages, with which at least one pushing device is connected, every of which is made in the form of a pneumatic cylinder with a rod, which is arranged above the appropriate stream of the satellite accumulator with the possibility of entrance into the containment, when a partial column is pushed inside, at the same time the pneumatic cylinder is made with the possibility of rod displacement in the vertical plane.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase efficiency, to reduce error and to provide for the possibility to equip several, for instance, 4 fuel elements simultaneously and to automate the process of adjustment.
