FIELD: information technology.
SUBSTANCE: described are methods for allocating a multipath channel signal to comb processors to achieve the desirable throughput and low power consumption. A search is performed first in order to obtain a set of multipath channel signals for transmission from at least one base station. At least one multipath channel signal (e.g., a certain minimum number of multipath channel signals is identified) with combined metric throughput which exceeds a threshold is identified. Said at least one multipath channel signal is allocated and processed by at least one comb processor so as to restore transmission from the base station. One or more comb processors from a plurality of comb processors is switched off if it not allocated to any multipath channel signal.
EFFECT: increasing efficiency of a RAKE receiver in order to achieve high throughput while reducing power consumption.
