FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to films made from a polyethylene composition and articles made from said films, such as shipping bags and sheet material. The film contains at least one component made from the composition, which contains a mixture of an ethylene-based high-molecular weight copolymer and an ethylene-based low-molecular weight copolymer. The ethylene-based high-molecular weight copolymer is a heterogeneously branched linear or homogeneously branched linear ethylene copolymer and C3-C20 α-olefins having density from 0.922 g/cm3 to 0.929 g/cm3 and flow melt index at high load I21 from 0.2 g/10 min to 1.0 g/10 min. The ethylene-based low-molecular weight copolymer is a heterogeneously branched linear or homogeneously branched linear ethylene copolymer and C3-C20 α-olefins having density from 0.940 g/cm3 to 0.955 g/cm3 and flow melt index I2 from 6 g/10 min to 50 g/10 min. The mixture has a single peak on an ATREF curve, is eluted at temperature higher than 30°C, has viscosity-average molecular weight coefficient (CMV), which is calculated at elution temperature in the range from 70°C to 90°C, less than -0.0032 in coordinates of log(calculated MV) of elution temperature.
EFFECT: obtained polyethylene films have good impact resistance determined using a drop-weight method, good tear resistance and excellent resistance to thermal and oxidation decomposition during manufacture and end use.
