FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: turbocharging system of a diesel locomotive internal combustion engine comprises at least one turbine compressor (1), an air discharge manifold (2), a cooler (3) of supercharging air, an inlet receiver (4), a relief line (9), a relief valve (14), an electronic unit of relief valve control (15), sensors of air (16) and gas (17) pressure, and also a sensor of crankshaft rotation frequency (18). Along the relief line (9) some compressed air from the air discharge manifold (2) arrives to a reaction gas turbine. The relief valve (14) is installed in the relief line (9). The relief line (9) is connected to a section of the reaction gas turbine flow path between nozzle blades (12) and impeller blades (13). Air (16) and gas (17) pressure sensors are installed accordingly at the inlet and outlet of the relief line (9). Sensors (16, 17, 18) are connected to an electronic unit of relief valve control (15).
EFFECT: expanded zone of efficient operation of a turbocompressor and elimination of exhaust gases ingress downstream a turbine into an inlet header.
