FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: bypass gas turbine engine comprises a body with an external bonnet, comprising a fan and a central generator, a circular channel of cold flow around the central generator of hot flow, an external bonnet of the fan, an outlet hole of cold flow, an edge of which is formed with an external bonnet of the body and the external bonnet of the fan converging towards each other and multiple chevrons distributed around the edge of the outlet hole. Chevrons are pairwise distanced from each other at the distance with formation of passages between them, besides, each chevron is inclined in direction of the longitudinal axis for penetration into cold flow at the penetration angle measured from the external bonnet of the fan and approximately equal to 30°. The angle of penetration and length of each chevron from the edge of the outlet hole of cold flow are selected so that the height of penetration of the latter into cold flow makes from 0.01 to 0.03 of the diameter of the outlet hole of cold flow.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to improve efficiency of jet noise reduction.
