FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: threaded pipe connection which is tight under loads created with series internal and external pressure includes male and female elements. At least one of male and female elements includes a projection located between thread and free end of element. Projection includes the first zone with peripheral surface facing the other element, on which there located is the first metal sealing surface which can be fitted tightly in radial direction for interaction with the corresponding second metal sealing surface located on the other element. Projection has the second zone located in axial direction between the first zone and the corresponding thread. Radial stiffness of the second zone is lower than radial stiffness of the first zone and the third zone adjacent to the second zone in direction of thread; at that, the second zone can be deformed in radial direction by means of pressure which will be exerted on it.
EFFECT: invention improves pipe connection reliability.
