FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: infrared radiation is measured at loading from surface of parts fixed on the bench, first, non-worked ones, and then, reconditioned ones. Non-worked parts are tested on the bench by being loaded with momentary fixed cyclic load causing local change in intensity of infrared radiation on surface of parts, and after its stabilisation or after the specified action time of that load there recorded is position of those places and value of local change in intensity of infrared radiation in them. Similar tests are carried out for the parts reconditioned after having been damaged during operation; reconditioning control of fatigue strength of each part is evaluated as per the degree of coincidence of places and values of local change in intensity of infrared radiation in each of those places of that part being non-worked and after reconditioning.
EFFECT: possible effective, reliable and rather non-labour intensive control method of reconditioning of fatigue strength of each part without damage to it.
