FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: method consists in application of grid chart on surface of machine part or structure element that experiences cyclic loads, and further performance of measurements in units of grid by means of magnetoelastic detector equipped with angle-gage device. At that angles of tangents incline to trajectories (isostatics) of highest main voltages are monitored. Results of measurements are used to build schedule of these angles values variation, analysis of which makes it possible to draw a conclusion on condition of monitored item and to timely remove item out of operation for replacement or restorative repair with application of the whole time resource before metal accumulates risky fatigue.
EFFECT: expansion of nomenclature of monitored items, provision of possibility of monitoring under existing production conditions.
