SUBSTANCE: mobile communication terminal has at least one side key, a display unit having a touch screen, and a controller configured to display an interface screen on the display unit when at least one side key is manipulated. The interface screen includes the selected points for setting at least one of the terminal incoming call signal mode and terminal key signal mode. After manipulation of the side key, the terminal is in standby mode, and if during a predetermined period of time there is no input detected on the interface screen, the controller automatically sets the level of the terminal into the position of a level which is currently associated with the selected menu before returning to standby mode.

EFFECT: enabling the user to set an incoming call signal mode or a key signal mode using one key if for a predetermined period of time no further input is detected on the interface screen.
