FIELD: interfaces.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a graphical user interface. Method for controlling an electronic device, comprising displaying on a touch screen an image which comprises at least one region of the object as a home screen, each of said at least one region of the object is in form of an icon corresponding to a certain application stored in the electronic device, obtaining a user input using the touch screen, identifying that the user input is a handwritten input, and in response to identification, determining at least one text based on said handwritten input and executing function of said application.
EFFECT: technical result consists in wider range of the same purpose tools.
