FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a catalyst which is suitable for catalysis of a Fischer-Tropsch reaction, use thereof and a Fischer-Tropsch method using said catalyst. Described is a catalyst containing cobalt metal deposited on zinc oxide and having the following particle size distribution in the volume: <10% has particle size less than 1 mcm, 75-85% has particle size between 1 and 5 mcm, and <15% has particle size greater than 5 mcm. Described also is a Fischer-Tropsch method which is characterised by use of the catalyst described above.

EFFECT: high wear resistance and high activity of the catalyst.
