FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: this invention relates to production of hydrofluoropropen. This method includes: (a) bringing hexafluoropropane representing mix of 1,1,1,2,2,3-hexafluoropropane with chrome oxyfluoride catalyst in reactor to obtain mix of products containing 1,2,3,3,3-pentafluoropropene. Said mix includes Z-HFC-1225ye and E-HFC-1225ye, and (b) extracting said 1,2,3,3,3-entafluoropropene from said mix of products wherein said catalyst contains alkali in amount of approx. 2000 ppm or less. This invention relates also to production of hydrofluoropropene and includes: (a) bringing 1,1,1,2,2-pentafluoropropane with chrome oxyfluoride catalyst in reactor to obtain mix of products containing 2,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene, and (b) extracting said 2,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene from said mix wherein said catalyst includes alkali in amount of approx. 2000 ppm or less.
