FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: impact action is applied on the surface of the road structure. The reaction of the road structure is measured by sensors - piezoceramic vibroaccelerometers installed on the road surface at control points at different distances from the centre of the contact area on the coating surface parallel to the axis of the road. Vertical displacements of the points of the surface of the road structure are calculated based on the given amplitude-time components of acceleration. The calculated vertical displacements of points of the surface of the road structure serve as input data for constructing an experimental basin of dynamic deflections of the road structure. The input data for constructing the calculated dynamic deflections are design values of the modulus of elasticity, Poisson ratios, density of the layers of the road structure, as well as data on the applied load. Through successive correction, the calculated and experimental basins of dynamic deflections of the road structure are correlated with accuracy set by the user. Calculated values of the modulus of elasticity of the layers of the road structure during the operational stage are determined based on the correction.
EFFECT: possibility of determining actual values of modulus of elasticity of each structural layer of a road surface at the operational stage.
