FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: stand has a cylindrical housing, a platform for mounting the test article, a power piston inside the housing and connected by a rod to a support point adjoining the platform, a pressure source, a device for generating a pressure pulse, having a control channel linked to a controlled source of pressure, e.g., gas, a pressure release unit and having in the top part a hole for connection with under-piston cavity of an actuating cylinder, a regulating element in form of a detachable profiled tip which is mounted by its base on the power piston in the under-piston cavity of the housing for closing the hole in the base of the housing and serving to form between it and the hole a variable gap for linking the under-piston cavity and the control channel. The apparatus for reproducing the form of the impact pulse has an additional element, having rods rigidly mounted in the housing and passing through holes in the piston, said rods having vents for bypassing the gas from the over-piston to the under-piston cavity of the housing for a defined path of the piston. The location of the vents on the length of the rods and the depth of the vents enable reproduction of the trailing edge of the bypass pulse on the selected characteristic.
EFFECT: possibility of high-accuracy reproduction of different forms of leading and trailing edges of an impact pulse in a wide range of duration and amplitude values.
