FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: proposed pump unit comprises sections coupled by articulated couplings with their half-couplings furnished with spherical surfaces jointed together by spider made up of sleeve and pins. Tightness of articulated coupling is ensured by sleeve provided with seals arranged on its ends and spherical surface of half-couplings and coupled yoke.
EFFECT: decreased drag at unchanged diameter and higher efficiency.
