FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: gradient meter has a telescopic arm on at least three points of which measurement systems are mounted, said systems comprising at least two identical semi-cylindrical sensors connected by flat sides, and a unit with an electric circuit for controlling the measurement process and processing the measurement results. The telescopic arm enables to change the distance between the measurement systems and from the base of the arm, which enables to change the thickness of the analysed layer of the measured medium and the number of measurement points. Presence of at least three measurement systems enables to evaluate the behaviour of spatial measurements of the state of the medium.

EFFECT: inclusion of several appropriately connected sensors in the a measurement system increases measurement accuracy and eliminates the effect of the orientation of the device relative sun rays and wind from the obtained results.
