FIELD: blasting.
SUBSTANCE: method to test electrical equipment explosion-proofness based on testing in an explosive chamber filled with an activated testing explosive mixture and detection of probability of its ignition from a source in a tested electrical equipment. At the same time the composition of the activated testing explosive mixture is established, with which probability of ignition from a source in the tested electrical equipment equals 10-3, for a certain composition of the activated explosive mixture its classification parameter is set - SEMGset - a safe experimental maximum gap, afterwards values of safety coefficient K are determined as applicable to any explosive mixture that occurs in production and is characterised with a classification parameter SEMG, on the basis of the formula K=SEMG/ SEMG3set.
EFFECT: higher information value of tests and elimination of repeated tests.
