The present invention involves collecting data on configuration of clients found on a network and, installing a security system module on each of the clients in accordance with their configuration, and monitoring execution of security tasks on clients and the server. The security task is executed on a client having the corresponding security system module. The security task is executed on the server without the corresponding security system module on the client. Further, data on execution of security tasks on clients and the server is collected and analysis of execution of security tasks on the clients and the server is performed based on the collected data. Further, the configuration of the security system modules is altered at the client and server side in accordance with the collected data.
