FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: gas turbine component revolving about lengthwise axis comprises labyrinth seal circular knife edge. Knife edge features radial height varying along its circumference to make several extending parts formed by U-shape cramp. Every said cramp is fitted in hollow seat made on knife edge and features shape supplementing the latter. Another invention relates to gas turbine engine comprising said part. In making circular knife edge, gas turbine engine component with constant-height knife edge and hollow-section tool are prepared. At least, one seat is made by lowering the tool radially. Then, cramp is made from material harder than that of the component and shaped to supplement said seat. Cramp is fitted in said seat to close it and to joint cramp with knife edge.
EFFECT: simplified fabrication.
