FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: method involves synthesis of ferrite powder from magnesium, zinc and iron oxides, grinding the synthesised mixture to particle size 1-3 mcm, granulating the mixture while adding binder, pressing the workpiece and sintering, wherein cooling the workpiece after sintering at temperature below 950°C is carried out in a medium with low partial pressure of oxygen ranging from 0.01 to 0.3 kPa.
EFFECT: obtaining cheap magnesium-zinc ferrite with high radar-absorbing properties in a frequency range from 30 MHz to 1000 MHz.
