METHOD OF DIAGNOSING DISORDERS OF SEXUAL DEVELOPMENT IN CHILDREN Russian patent published in 2012 - IPC A61B8/08 

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to child's age andrology, and is intended for diagnostics of disorders of sexual development in boys. Simultaneous ultrasonic examination of prostate gland and gonads is performed. Total volume of gonads and volume of prostate gland are determined. Coefficient of ratio of total volume of gonads to volume of prostate gland is calculated by formula C=Vpg/Vg tot., where C is ratio coefficient, Vpg is volume of prostate gland, Vg tot is total volume of gonads. It is compared with standard coefficient, equal 1.6-2.0. If value C≤1.6, conclusion about reduction of volume of gonads with respect to prostate gland - hypogonadism, or increase of volume of prostate gland because of inflammatory of volume processes - is made, and disorder of sexual development is diagnosed. If value C≥2.0, conclusion about underdevelopment of prostate gland, or about increase of gonads in case of tumout or inflammatory process is made and disorder of sexual development is diagnosed.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to carry out accurate and early diagnostics of sexual development disorders in boys.
