FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electromechanics and may be used to up the turning accuracy. Invention allows turning of standard noncircular parts with high precision and efficiency at machine tools, including those with high-precision spindle assembly. Proposed device comprises electric drive of said displacement subject to spindle turn angle and translation of cutting tool. Electric drive control is built on self-learning principle that provides for minimum systematic positioning errors from part to part. Proposed device comprises also piezo drive controlled subject to part rotational axis displacement in cutting direction and electric drive varies, via linear displacement summation unit, the position of tool holder.
EFFECT: turning to preset shape.
