TWO-CHANNEL ELECTRIC DRIVE Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

Abstract RU 2223592 C1

FIELD: electrical engineering; manipulators, lathes for machining non-cylindrical parts, and other mechanisms suffering cyclic impacts. SUBSTANCE: two-channel electric drive that can be used to control position of mechanisms where high-precision control is implemented due to inclusion of second channel usually distinguished by fast response and higher precision is characterized in that during current cycle correcting signal is added to control action on high-precision channel. This signal is generated by means of two delay units, filter, and adder that function to store information about errors of preceding cycles. This additional action results in reduction of cyclic component from cycle to cycle down to its minimal value. Provision is made in this drive to compensate for adverse effect of coarse-channel transient errors on correcting signal generation process. In this way optimization of cyclic actions is effected by detecting cyclic component errors in previous cycles and their correction during next ones. EFFECT: enhanced error reduction in optimizing cyclic actions of drive. 1 cl, 1 dwg
