FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: spectroscope has, arranged in series on an optical axis, an entrance slit, a projecting lens, a concave transmitting grating with curvilinear slits and variable distance between them and a recorder. The projecting lens enables to form an image of the entrance slit at the centre of curvature of the slit surface. The radius of curvature of the slits of the grating and their spacing are functions of coordinates in the meridian plane of a point on the grating, and also depend on the radius of curvature of the grating, the frequency of the slits at the top of the grating, the mean wavelength of the operating spectral range and the diffraction order.
EFFECT: spectroscope implements a direct vision scheme and provides sufficiently high resolution with an aperture markedly larger than analogues.
