FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a plurality of opaque pigment scales, wherein each of the opaque scales has the same selected shape and symbol and has thickness of less than 10 microns. Such pigment scales, having one or more symbols and selected shape, are used in compositions such as printing paint or ink, for providing a concealed protective feature for an object. Said pigment scales are difficult to detect when randomly viewed in visible light.
EFFECT: invention improves concealed protection of objects coated with a composition containing opaque pigment scales.
