FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: method of gas supply to residential areas includes supply of liquefied natural gas under pressure from reservoirs to regasificator. The said reservoirs and regasificator are located on board of liquefied gas tanker moored to coastal area. After liquefied natural gas gets into regasificator it is converted into gaseous, after that it is supplied further from regasificator to onshore compression plants via gas pipeline. The latter are connected to gas transportation system of natural gas supply to consumers. Natural gas is supplied by onshore compression plants to gas transportation system and/or underground storage of natural gas. The latter is constructed onshore and is connected to the said gas transportation system via gas pipeline of natural gas pumping and extraction. After gas tanker is unloaded the pumping gas pipeline is switched off and natural gas is further supplied from underground storage to gas transportation system to consumers via the said gas pipeline of natural gas extraction.

EFFECT: increase of method efficiency due to accelerated unloading of gas tankers, reduction of their idle time during unloading and obtaining reliable and stable gas supply to consumers.
