FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: method to heat a bimetal plate consists in the fact that whenever an electric motor operates at a rated mode, current is not passing along a heating element of an electric relay, and as an emergency mode arises, a heating element from a wire with high specific resistance wound onto the bimetal plate is connected into phase voltage, therefore the bimetal plate of the thermal-electric relay bend from high temperature of the heating element disconnects the electric motor from the emergency mode, having prevented overheating of the stator winding.
EFFECT: invention provides for electric motor disconnection at impermissible overloads, with prevention of stator winding heating, release of high quantity of heat in a heating element for a short period of time, which results in motor disconnection from an emergency mode for 4-6 seconds.
