FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: claimed invention relates to accessory device which can be used in medicine, astronautics, underwater works and military industry, in particular to artificial muscles, which make it possible to create compensating, protective suits and shields, shape-forming devices, to method of artificial muscle manufacturing and to compensating suit, which includes artificial muscle. Artificial muscle consists of group of linen layers, hermetically connected into cross-parallel parts, filled with flowing medium, connected with each other by means of canals made with possibility of passing in them of flowing medium, group of fastening elements, installed on part edges, and connecting pipe, installed with possibility of filling parts with flowing medium and discharge of flowing medium from said parts. Method of artificial muscle manufacturing includes application of linen, which contains group of layers, sewing linen along with, at least, two straight sutures and across with, at least, two parallel sutures, cutting linen on definite specified areas into group of parts, installation of said parts vertically, fixation of connecting pipe, which is used to perform filling of said parts with sealing composition, uniform distribution of sealing composition along entire length with further extraction of its excess, preliminary drying of parts, supply of flowing medium under pressure, which is carried out through connecting pipe for separation of linen layers, and final drying of parts under pressure, lower in comparison with pressure used in preliminary drying. Compensating suit includes set of external movable parts, at least, one reservoir which accumulates flowing medium, at least, two valves, at least, one pusher, made with possibility of controlling said valves, at least, one connecting pipe and, at least, one artificial muscle, said, at least, one artificial muscle being connected with, at least, one movable part.
EFFECT: artificial muscle makes it possible to fully or partially substitute or compensate motor functions of extremities.
