FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention is used for fuel supply to combustion chamber of internal combustion engine (ICE). Fuel injector includes: needle (20), housing (12), control chamber (18) and three-way control valve (10). Injector housing (12) is provided with guiding opening (22) for needle (20). Control valve (10) controls movement of needle (20) by pressure in control chamber (18) by means of connection between (a) the first (38) and the second (36) channels and (b) the third (30) and the second (36) channels. Control valve (10) includes the first housing (14), the first (48) and the second (50) seats, element (32a, 32b) of the valve and intermediate housing (16). The first housing (14) has guiding opening (34) for element (32a, 32b) of the valve. The first seat (48) is formed by injector housing (12). The second seat is formed by the first housing (14). Valve element (32b) is engaged with seats. Intermediate housing is located between the first (14) and the second (12) housings. The second channel (36) is formed in intermediate housing (16).
EFFECT: decreasing losses caused by parasitic leakages and reducing force required upon injection, improving response.
