FIELD: instrument making.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to separation of materials by electric conductivity in magnetic field and may be used for dry separation of loose nonmagnetic materials bearing conductors and dielectrics, in particular, for extraction of nonferrous metal particles from powders with grain size of 1 to 5 mm. Proposed separator comprises work tool made up of disc made from dielectric material arranged to rotate above feeder, travelling magnetic field inductor arranged aligned therewith and above it and made up of high-rpm rotor with permanent magnets of alternating polarity, and discharge bin. Permanent magnets are arranged on high-rpm rotor periphery. Discharge bin is made up of inner and outer sections with taper surface. Inner section has vertical sidewall to direct nonconducting particles toward it and to force conducting particles over it and into outer sections. Ratio between rotor rotation angular velocity (ω1) and that of work tool disc (ω2) makes ω1/ω2=30÷40.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of separation.
