FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medical equipment, namely to apparatuses and methods for patient temperature regulation. An IR radiation heating system for increasing or maintaining homogeneous internal body temperature during the operation comprises an IR radiation heating device, a control device for intensity level and the radiant heat intensity distribution over the patient's body. The IR heating device additionally comprises a light array of IR lightings integrated in the lighting system of the operating room wherein a surgical operation is supposed to be performed. The control device additionally comprises thermally sensitive devices taking skin temperature in a number of positions of the patient's body and controls the intensity level and the radiant heat intensity distribution by switching on/off the IR light sources of the light array separat and independently. According to the second version of implementation of the system, the IR heating device is interlaced along the surgical clothing put on the patient during the operation, and the control device additionally comprises the thermally sensitive devices integrated in the clothing and taking skin temperature in the number of positions of the patient's body. The methods for increasing or maintaining homogeneous internal body temperature during the operation consists in the use of the first and second versions of the implementation of the system.
EFFECT: use of the invention enables higher effectiveness of the intraoperative IR body temperature control.
