FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to gaging device used in production of extruded hollow thermoplastic rectangular cross-section channels. Note here that proposed device comprises stationary case supporting spaced apart multiple gaging plates to make channel extending through gaging device. Channel cross-section defines outer shape of produced thermoplastic channel. Note here that channel wall is limited by gaging plate moving part. Note also that said part is adjusted perpendicular to channel to adapt gaging device to thermoplastic channels that vary in height/width. Note also that every second gaging plate comprises two horizontal bars to move face to face and in opposite direction while every other plate comprises two vertical bars to move face to face and in opposite direction.
EFFECT: gaging orifice adapted to thermoplastic channels.
