FIELD: mining.
SUBSTANCE: shield covering includes cover plate 2, receiving devices 4 for connection of heads of hydraulic cylinders with shield covering and support structure 3 welded under cover plate 2 and having multiple longitudinal cross beams. Besides, at least two longitudinal cross beams consist of H-section beams 10 with upper flange 12 of section, lower flange 11 of section and intermediate flange 13 passing perpendicular to two above mentioned flanges of the section, and distance between upper and lower flanges of section decreases at least on some part of length of H-section beam.
EFFECT: higher bending strength of shield covering and reduction of metal consumption of the design.
