According to the invention, at least one parameter or change in parameter of the gas composition in the inner space of the housing is measured by a sensor lying in the inner space of the housing and/or on the housing, and based on said measurement, the corresponding sensor signal is generated and the sensor signal (Sc) is transmitted to a computation unit (60, 206, 260) where it is compared with a threshold value (Kc), and if said threshold (Kc) is exceeded, either the corresponding load exposure is registered or the corresponding load exposure is registered and the sum of all load exposures (INTltc) is calculated or the corresponding load exposure is registered, the sum of all load exposures (INTltc) is calculated and by comparing with the maximum value (MAXltc) of permissible load exposures, the permissible remaining load exposure or the remaining life (Rltc) is calculated.

EFFECT: simple and cost-effective monitoring or determination of the condition of a force-measuring device in a housing.
