FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: apparatus for measuring the size of particles moving in a pipeline has a radiation source and a detector whose output is connected to the input of an amplifier. The apparatus also includes a circulator, a power metre and a transmitting-receiving horn antenna mounted on the outer surface of the pipeline. The output of the radiation source is connected to the first arm of the circulator, whose second arm is connected to the transmitting-receiving horn antenna. The third arm of the circulator is connected to the input of the detector and the output of the amplifier is connected to the power metre.
EFFECT: high measurement accuracy.
