ELECTROMAGNETIC MICROWAVE INTERFEROMETER EMITTING TWO LINEARLY POLARISED BEAMS TOWARDS TARGET Russian patent published in 2013 - IPC G01B9/02

Abstract RU 2482446 C1

FIELD: radio engineering, communication.

SUBSTANCE: interferometer has an atomic frequency standard as a reference oscillator of a standard precision digital microwave generator of a high frequency mono-harmonic signal G, the output of which is configured to transmit a microwave signal through a microwave circulator to a microwave double-channel splitter, the output of which is configured to transmit a microwave signal at frequency f through microwave circulators to each channel to electromechanical precision microwave attenuators, at the output of which there are microwave circulators, wherein the output of the circulator of the first channel is configured to transmit an electromagnetic signal at frequency f to an electromechanical precision microwave phase changer, bypassing the microwave circulator, to a double-channel electromechanical microwave switch and further through a feeder through a microwave power amplifier and a waveguide which rotates by 90 degrees the polarisation of the electromagnetic wave at frequency f passing through it, to a slit exciter of a directed beam of the mono-harmonic electromagnetic radiation at frequency f, and the output of said microwave circulator of the second channel is configured to transmit a microwave signal at frequency f through a microwave feeder through the power amplifier of the second channel and through a microwave guide to a horn exciter of the directed beam of mono-harmonic electromagnetic radiation at frequency f.

EFFECT: providing, in open space, coherent resonance interference of two mono-harmonic linearly polarised focused beams of microwave electromagnetic radiation travelling separately in the same direction from different types of exciters, the polarisation planes of the beams being orthogonal.
