FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to gas-discharge direct current lamp with anode (10) and cathode (12) arranged inside discharge flask (14), filled with gas for lamps filling, opposite to each other at a specified distance (r). Electric capacity (P) is applied to anode (10) and cathode (12) in order to get gas discharge. At that at least distance (r) between anode (10) and cathode (12), electric capacity (P) and anode (10) geometry are brought into compliance with each other, thus area (22) of anode (10) surface (24) directed to cathode (12) has fluidity under hot state of gas-discharge direct current lamp.
EFFECT: improved performance characteristics of the lamp.
