FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture, namely, to beekeeping. The proposed device for catching queen bees in the hive contains a tube of transparent material and an elastic capacity, located at one end of the tube. The diameter of the tube is a little larger than the diameter of the body of the queen bee. The second end of the tube is equipped with a flared end which size is greater than the length of the body of the queen bee. On the bottom edge of the flared end the groove is made to fit the diameter of the body of the working bee. The tube has a transverse through hole with a thread threaded into it.
EFFECT: invention eliminates the risk of mechanical injury to the queen bee in case of careless handling, facilitates the work of the beekeeper.
