FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to knitted items of clothes, in particular to hosiery with gradient compression, which possess therapeutic and esthetic properties. Item of hosiery includes stocking section, coming continuously from its distal end to proximal open end. Stocking section includes tubular foot part and tubular ankle/hip part. Stocking section is basically or completely knitted from stretchable yarn, which includes elastomer threads, in-built into knitted stretchable yarn. Stretchable yarn includes reinforced yarn which contains preliminarily tightened elastomer rod and twisted fibre envelope, rod being preliminarily tightened, when envelope is twisted around rod. Further stocking section is represented in form of gradient region, which passes from distal localisation, adjacent to distal end, to proximal localisation, adjacent to proximal end, properties of stockings progressively changing along the length of gradient region, ensuring compression, which gradually decreases from distal localisation to proximal localisation when stockings are put on.

EFFECT: claimed item of hosiery possesses larger degree of stretching in longitudinal and transverse directions, in comparison with known products, which ensures comfort and simplicity of putting on, as well as therapeutic and esthetic advantages.
