FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to water treatment and can be used to purify drinking water, waste water, recycled water and other wastes from the chemical industry. The method involves alkanising water with aqueous ammonia solution in amount of 0.072 wt %, heating the water to 40°C, stirring at 1650-17000 rpm for 45 s,. settling for 2-10 min and filtering through a fibrous filter made from thermoplastic with fibre diameter of 2.8 mcm.
EFFECT: improved quality of water and faster softening process.
