FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: machine axis represents a rotary body (1) installed at two sides in fixed supports (2). At the ends of the rotary body (1) made from a solid material and fixed supports (2) there are hemispherical grooves (4) to install a ball (5). The diametre of the ball (5) at one end of the rotary body (1) is more than at its other end.
EFFECT: simplified design of a machine axis and reduction of its wear.
