SUBSTANCE: fitting comprises an outer body and an inner pressing element suitable for locking a pipe end. The pressing element comprises an end edge, which may be exposed to an axial force to move the pressing element to the front unlocked position. At the specified end edge there is a ring-shaped protective element comprising an inner bent section stretching in the radial direction inside the axial seat of the outer body of the fitting so that it interacts with the outer surface of the pipe. The outer body also comprises a cylindrical end section stretching in the axial direction at least until it surrounds the specified protective element so that the end edge of the protective element is accessible only by means of a special tool.
EFFECT: invention improves reliability of a joint.
