FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: system to detect leaks of an oil product pipeline comprises a central server to monitor condition of oil product pipeline tightness joined into at least one information-computer local network with at least two units for detection of leaks on the oil product pipeline arranged along it, which are placed in appropriate at least two points of oil product pipeline tightness condition monitoring. Each unit of leak detection on an oil product pipeline comprises a controller, an analog-to-digital converter, a unit of signal filtration. Each unit comprises at least one sensor of excessive pressure and at least one hydrophone arranged as capable of contact with a liquid oil product pumped along the oil product pipeline. Outlets of the excessive pressure sensor and hydrophone are connected via a unit of filtration of signals with an inlet of analog-to-digital converter connected by outlets with controller inlets. The controller is made as capable of connection with its outlet to the information-computer local network.

EFFECT: high sensitivity to leaks caused by unauthorised tie-ins, low time of leak detection, high accuracy of leak place localisation, no false alarms about a leak.
