EMERGENCY SITUATION DETECTION METHOD ON MULTI-THREAD MAIN PIPELINE Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC F17D5/02

Abstract RU 2700491 C1

FIELD: transportation.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to automation of monitoring and control of technological process of product transportation by multi-thread main pipelines (MMP). In method, section MMP are presented in the form of multiple elements consisting of a tap and two pressure sensors installed before and after the tap. Simultaneously, a set of all contingency criteria is formed for each element based on possible changes in values of pressure transducers and crane states. In real time using software on monitored point (MP) comparing changes of current process parameters for each of the elements of the section MMP with previously determined features corresponding to each of possible emergency situations. Comparison results are used to determine possible contingency situation by comparison with information on adjacent elements. Information on the presence of an emergency situation for the element is transmitted to the control point (CP) of the linear telemechanics system, after which emergency contingency situation is confirmed at CP, and type of emergency situation is determined: pipeline rupture / product leakage or unauthorized movement of shutoff valves, emergency location point by set of information received from MP. In order to avoid contingency miss in boundary area of linear-production section MMP information is exchanged between neighboring MP, located on adjacent linear-production sections.

EFFECT: broader functional capabilities, faster operation and accuracy of detecting an emergency situation, high reliability and safety of operation MMP.
