FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: electric power supply device of gas-discharge lamps contains constant supply voltage source (1) of single-cycle transistor inverter (7) made on power double-winding transformer (9), bypass diode (12) and switching transistor (8) controlled from control node (15) made for example on the basis of specific microcircuits for electronic ballasts. Gas-filled lamp (13) shunted with capacitor (14) is in-series connected to primary winding (10) of transformer (9) and switching transistor (8) between buses (5) and (6) of constant voltage source (1). New features of the proposed device provide the supply of lamp with bipolar high-frequency current.
EFFECT: maximum luminous efficiency and service life at application of only one wire-wrap product, one power transistor and bypass diode.
