FIELD: electrical engineering; secondary power supplies. SUBSTANCE: dc-to-ac converter built around controlled semiconductor devices (transistors) has two single- ended antipodal-signal controlled inverters, inverter transistor safety area shaping capacitor, two isolating diodes, and rectifier load common for both inverters. Converter uses simple transformers incorporating smaller number of multiturn windings and common safe operation area shaping unit for transistor inverters. Converter is designed for operation at higher supply voltages and its transistors and diodes may be chosen out of extended range of these devices at the same time simplifying design of power transformers.
