FIELD: personal use articles.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the tightening devices which purpose is to fix a piece of clothing, such as pants, so that it fits to the waist of a consumer to keep this piece of clothing appropriate to the body of the consumer. The tightening device for garments has a central element formed of two parts or halves, equipped with means of attaching it to the corresponding loops on the pants, etc. The specified parts or halves are joined together with elastic elements that can be adapted to these parts with the ability to vary the working length of the device, and from the working length, in addition to vary the length due to its own elastic deformation of the said elastic elements.

EFFECT: tightening device proposed in the present invention is a new technical development by which the elasticity of the tightening device is actually transferred to the central element, which, moreover, can be adjusted so that it is possible to install any degree of tightening, regardless of the fact that the spacing between the loops, available in different garments worn by the same user, may vary.
